In 2014, the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair welcomed almost 2,000 exhibitors to the Convention and Exhibition Center in Wan Chai. Visitors to the event totalled over 41,000 and the HKTDC is confident of continuing with the success in 2015. Organised by the HKTDC and held at the HKCEC, the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair is the largest toy industry event in Asia. Exhibits include candy toys, branded toys, educational toys and games, electronic and remote-control toys, festive and party items, outdoor and sporting items, toy packaging, smart-tech toys, soft toys & dolls, video games, etc. The fair also includes a Kidult World featuring hobby goods, magic items and vehicles, mechanical toys and action figures. Focus Areas The fair displays the latest styles of frames, spectacles and related products through various product zones, ranging from kids’ eyewear to optometric instruments, equipment and machinery. The fair will also host special events including eyewear parades at the Brand Name Gallery. New Trends Major industry events will explore new trends and innovations in the optical industry. The 12th Hong Kong Optometric Conference on 6-7 November adopts the theme of “Development of Optometry for the Future”. The event will feature experts from the United Kingdom and the United States as well as Hong Kong and Singapore. There will also be a seminar on “New Marketing Strategies in Eyewear” and a Buyer Forum on “Business Opportunities in Emerging Markets” with both events taking place on 5 November.
